  • When should I get tested?

    As part of a yearly health check-up or to help manage your medication after being diagnosed with high cholesterol; although, it is important to take proactive action if you have any of the following signs relating to high risk of heart disease:

    • You or your family have a history of obesity, diabetes, high cholesterol, high blood pressure, or stroke

  • What is being tested?

The Lipid Panel consists of 5 tests that check for abnormal cholesterol or triglyceride levels. There are two types of cholesterol:

  • High Density Lipoproteins (HDL) = Good cholesterol.

  • Low Density Lipoproteins (LDL) = Bad cholesterol.

  • Do I need to fast?

Yes, do not eat and only drink water for 10 to 12 hours before the blood sample is collected.

  • How do I get the results?

The results usually take 3 to 5 business days and can be delivered in 3 convenient ways: directly to your device through email, sent to your home through mail, or picked up in the office
