COVID19 Testing

COVID 19 TESTING SOLUTIONS
PROCEDURES & TESTING OPTIONS

There is an overwhelming need for mass-scale testing in order to safely get back to work and restart the economy. Currently there is a notable lack of testing capacity to test symptomatic and non-symptomatic associates for this purpose. Secure Health Partners is offering the following FDA EUA approved tests for determining COVID-19 status which can go a long way towards alleviating that problem.

TEST OPTIONS

RAPID ANTIGEN TESTS ARE SAME DAY RESULTS AND CAN BE CONDUCTED RIGHT IN YOUR CAR. RESULTS WILL BE DELIVERED TO YOUR EMAIL THE SAME DAY OR MAILED.

DRIED BLOOD SPOT ANTIBODY TESTS AND SALIVA PCR TEST KITS WILL BE GIVEN AS A TAKE HOME TEST. RESULTS WILL BE DELIVERED DIRECTLY TO YOUR EMAIL WITHIN A FEW DAYS.

CURRENT INFECTION DETECTION

1. NASAL ANTIGEN TEST – Same Day Results $95.00

The Antigen test is a newer COVID19 test that detects certain proteins that are part of the virus. Using a nasal swab to get a fluid sample, antigen tests can produce results in minutes detecting current infection.

Antigen Analyzer systems offered at Secure Health Partners

BD Veritor System for Rapid Detection of SARS-CoV-2

This test is a chromatographic immunoassay for the direct and qualitative detection of SARS-CoV-2 antigens in nasal swabs from patients.

Quidel Sofia SARS Antigen Fluorescent Immunoassay (FIA)

This test uses advanced immunofluorescence-based lateral flow technology in a sandwich design for qualitative detection of nucleocapsid protein from SARS-CoV-2.

2. SALIVA LAB NAAT TR-PCR TEST – Results in 2-3 days $225.00

Molecular tests (also known as PCR tests) detect genetic material from the virus. This test is a diagnostic saliva-based molecular lab test for symptomatic and asymptomatic populations that is easily self-collected. Results of the test confirm if the virus is detected in the saliva of the individual.

CRL RAPID RESPONSE™

ANTIBODY TESTS

An antibody test looks for antibodies that are made by the immune system in response to a threat, such as a specific virus. Antibodies can help fight infections. Antibodies can take several days or weeks to develop after you have an infection and may stay in your blood for several weeks after recovery. Because of this, antibody tests should not be used to diagnose an active coronavirus infection. At this time researchers do not know if the presence of antibodies means that you are immune to the coronavirus in the future.

Results of antibody testing can confirm the presence, or lack of, COVID antibodies in the individual. This test should be taken at least 14 days after exposure or 7 days after symptoms end.

3. SERUM ANTIBODY TEST (VENIPUNCTURE) $125.00

Venipuncture serum for asymptomatic populations that is administered by a health professional and shipped to the lab for testing. This test is a quantitative analysis of antibodies. Results will show presence of IgM and/or IgG antibodies. IgM are the antibodies developed early in the infection process. IgG antibodies are present late in the infection process.

Serum (Blood draw) Antibody test offered at Secure Health Partners

4. DRIED BLOOD SPOT ANTIBODY TEST (FINGERSTICK) $125.00

Dried blood spot (DBS) finger stick, a lab developed finger stick test for asymptomatic populations that is easy to administer. The sample is shipped to the lab for confirmation of antibodies.

CRL CLEAR™

What does it mean if I have a positive antigen test result? If you have a positive test result, it is very likely that you have COVID-19 because the virus that causes COVID-19 was found in your sample. Therefore, it is also likely that you may be placed in isolation to avoid spreading the virus to others. There is a very small chance that this test can give a positive result that is wrong (a false positive result). Your healthcare provider will work with you to determine how best to care for you based on your test result(s) along with your medical history, and your symptoms.

What does it mean if I have a negative antigen test result? A negative test result means that the virus that causes COVID-19 was not found in your sample. It is possible for this test to give a negative result that is incorrect (false negative) in some people with COVID19. This means that you could possibly still have COVID19 even though the test is negative. If your test result is negative, your healthcare provider will consider the test result together with all other aspects of your medical history (such as symptoms, possible exposures, and geographical location of places you have recently traveled) in deciding how to care for you. The amount of antigen in a sample may decrease the longer you have symptoms of infection. Specimens collected after you have had symptoms for more than seven days may be more likely to be negative compared to a molecular assay.
