COVID19 Antigen Testing

COVID19 RAPID TEST

NASAL SWAB – RESULTS WITHIN HOURS
WHY SHOULD I GET TESTED?

This antigen diagnostic test can show if you have an active coronavirus infection and should take steps to quarantine or isolate yourself from others. Currently there are two types of diagnostic tests which detect the virus – molecular tests (RT-PCR tests) that detect the virus’s genetic material, and antigen tests that detect specific proteins on the surface of the virus.

A positive test result for COVID-19 indicates that proteins from SARS-CoV-2 was detected, and the patient is infected with the virus and presumed to be contagious.

FAQS

  • What is being tested?

This COVID-19 test detects certain proteins in the virus. Using a nasal or throat swab to get a fluid sample, antigen tests can produce results in minutes. Because these tests are faster and less expensive than PCR tests, antigen tests may be more practical to use for large numbers of people. A positive antigen test result is considered very accurate, but there's an increased chance of false-negative results — meaning it's possible to be infected with the virus but have a negative result. Depending on the situation, the doctor may recommend a PCR test to confirm a negative antigen test result.

  • Do I need to fast?

No, an antigen test does not require any preparation before the sample is collected.

  • How do I get the results?

This test can be administered from your car in our drive parking or in the office. The results are same day and will be delivered directly to your device through text or email, sent to your home through mail, or picked up in the office.
